Long range outlooks & seasonal forecasts
By utilising knowledge of global patterns and processes in the atmosphere Blue Skies has developed an enviable level of accuracy when forecasting on the six-week to months and seasons-ahead timescale. As well as having access to global modelling and data analysis, Blue Skies works with a group of internationally renowned seasonal forecasters, leveraging their knowledge and forecasting ability for multi-national corporates to adapt global weather trends for New Zealand. By using propriety techniques for generating analogues of how current climate patterns over and around New Zealand match up with previous seasons we have developed reliable and useful long range forecasts which our clients tell us outperform similar outlooks from organisations like Niwa. Blue Skies can pick trends further ahead of time, and with greater accuracy, than you will read in the media or from government owned forecasters.
Long range outlooks are sent out via email every 10-14 days, and similarly to our short range forecasts, all clients are welcome to phone or email for a chat about the latest outlook, free of charge. We can also link up via online video to present the latest seasonal forecasts to management teams, boards, and workers in your organisation. We regularly live-stream on our Facebook page to give a few ideas of how seasons will progress. Get in touch for a sample forecast to be emailed to you, or subscribe below. Like us on facebook to be alerted to when we will next go live.
